About this Program

This program provides coverage for your personal property if you are named on the Lease and have enrolled in the Program via your Lease Application.

 

You have the following coverage:

  • $5,000 limit on personal property and $1,500 loss of use
*Loss of use refers to a situation where you are forced to move out of your unit due to an incident and need to find alternative living arrangements.
 

What losses are covered? 

If you enroll in the following personal property contents protection program, you may receive reimbursement for physical loss or damage to your personal property caused by the

following:

  • Fire and Lightning;
  • Windstorm, hail, tornado, hurricane (certain exclusions are set forth in the policy), explosion, sonic boom, aircraft, self-propelled missiles, spacecraft, vehicles, smoke, volcanic eruption, riot, strike or civil commotion;
  • Falling objects provided the building is first damaged by such falling objects, weight of ice, snow or sleet;
  • Collapse of buildings or any part thereof;
  • Water damage; or
  • Burglary (certain exclusions are set forth in the policy)

What is the deductible? 

$500 per occurrence

 

How to File a Claim

In the event you wish to make a claim under this policy, you must submit details of the loss by clicking the “File a Claim” button on this page or by sending an email to claims@habitatspecialty.io and specifying your name, email, phone, the date of loss and the claim amount.
